Valve Exercisers, or Valve Operators, are the core of an underground valve maintenance system: used to clean out and excavate to locate valves and lines. Valve Exercisers safely operate underground valves all in one compact unit that can be skid, truck, or trailer mounted.
 
The valve exercisers include the PT8 portable unit, the PT26 heavy duty operator, and the PT1000 that features a power head slide track. The PT26 and PT1000 valve exercisers / valve operators can be made “smart” with the addition of our data logger or a complete GIS management system.

    Founded in 1993, Pacific Tek has long established itself as innovative pioneers in the Valve Exerciser / Valve Operator and Vacuum Excavator industry. With over 50 years of field experience, Pacific Tek founders have used their knowledge to create innovations, such as the Angled Vacuum Tank (1997) and 180° Swivel Mount Valve Exerciser / Valve Operator (1999), that are too often imitated but never duplicated!

    PT1000 VALVE EXERCISER

    A truck, trailer, or skid mounted valve exerciser / valve operator for opening and closing underground valves. The PT1000 can operate underground valves from 4″ – 60″ diameter with adjustable torque range from 0 to 850 ft. / lbs. It has an operational horizontal reach of up to 8’ and a swing radius of up to 270 degrees. The unit can be mounted in various configurations, stowing width-wise or length-wise on a custom Pacific Tek trailer, flatbed service vehicle or dedicated single and tandem axle trailers. This unit can be powered from a separate hydraulic unit or vehicle driven one pump system.

    PT26 VALVE EXERCISER

    The PT26 valve exerciser / valve operator can operate underground gate valves from 4 in. to 60 in. diameter with an adjustable torque range from 0 to 1800 ft. / lbs. The torque control device insures that only enough torque to turn the valve is present which is more gentle on valve stems than normal manual operation. The power head extends up to 30 in. for easy setup.

    PT8 VALVE EXERCISER

    Eliminate potential lower back injuries and let the PT8 valve exerciser / valve operator turn your underground gate valves. This valve exerciser / valve operator can be used alone with it’s lightweight, hydraulic power unit, Model PU-2G, or as a helper to the truck mounted valve exerciser / valve operator on valves located off the street. This versatile and lightweight tool let’s the operating person stand still while it does the turning. Get accurate revolution counts on your valve operating / valve exercising. Use as part of a valve exercising / valve operating program or to quickly effect valve shut-downs when they’re needed. The built-in torque adjustment let’s you start out low and work your way up to the torque required.
